Julia Murney
Julia Kathleen Murney (born January 14, 1969) is an American actress and singer, also known for television commercial voice-overs. Until 2005, she was commonly known as the Broadway actress who had technically never appeared on Broadway. This was because her fame came mostly from her performances on the Broadway charity circuit, and not traditional Broadway productions. She played the role of Elphaba in the musical ''Wicked'', both on the US national tour (2006) and on Broadway (2007). She is also a two-time Drama Desk Award nominee, for '' The Wild Party'' (2000) and ''Falling'' (2013). Stephen Lawrence Schwartz (born March 6, 1948) is an American musical theater lyricist and composer. ''A Class Act'' is a quasi-autobiographical musical loosely based on the life of composer-lyricist Edward Kleban, who died at the age of 48 in 1987. Featuring a book by Linda Kline and Lonny Price along with music and lyrics by Kleban himself, the musical uses flashbacks and the device of time running backwards to retrace the high and low points of the composer's personal and professional life.
