Julia Hoffman
Julia Hoffman is a fictional character played by Grayson Hall in the 1966 ABC soap opera ''Dark Shadows''. A self-serving and conniving doctor in the fields of psychology and rare blood disorders. She is also head of the Windcliff Sanitarium, who moved into Collinwood and discovered the vampire Barnabas Collins. Initially, Julia represented a threat to Barnabas' undead existence, but eventually she became one of his most staunch allies. Dark Shadows
''Dark Shadows'' is an American gothic soap opera that aired weekdays on the ABC television network, from June 27, 1966, to April 2, 1971. The show depicted the lives, loves, trials, and tribulations of the wealthy Collins family of Collinsport, Maine, where a number of supernatural occurrences take place. The series became popular when vampire Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) was introduced ten months into its run. It would also feature ghosts, werewolves, zombies, man-made monsters, witches, warlocks, time travel, and a parallel universe. David Ford (actor)
David Ford (born David Conant Ford; October 30, 1925 – August 7, 1983) was a TV, film and stage actor. He was known for roles on TV's ''Dark Shadows'' (1966–1971) and ''Search for Tomorrow'' (1951), and as John Hancock in both the ''1776'' Broadway musical and its film adaptation. Career He appeared in the role of Sam Evans, the alcoholic widower, artist, and father of Maggie Evans (Kathryn Leigh Scott) on the ABC-TV serial ''Dark Shadows'' from 1966 to 1968. He assumed the role when Mark Allen, who originated the role, departed following episode 22 of the first year. A séance or seance (; ) is an attempt to communicate with spirits. The word ''séance'' comes from the French word for "session", from the Old French ''seoir'', "to sit". Nancy Barrett
Nancy Barrett (born October 5, 1941) is an American actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Carolyn Stoddard (among other characters) in the 1960s gothic soap opera ''Dark Shadows''. Biography Barrett was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, but most of her early life was spent in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. After completing high school, she entered Baylor University in Waco, Texas, but she spent her final year of college at UCLA. After graduating from UCLA, she married Ralph Pine, her agent. The couple moved to New York City, New York, where she landed the role of "Carolyn Stoddard" on the gothic soap opera ''Dark Shadows'' in June 1966.
