Judy Nunn
Judith Anne Nunn ( AM) (born 1945 in Perth, Western Australia), (also published under the pen name of Judy Bernard-Waite), is an Australian fiction author, former theatre and television actress and radio and television screenwriter. Nunn was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2015 Australia Day Honours for her service to the performing arts as a scriptwriter and actor of stage and screen, and to literature as an author. Acting career Early stage and TV career After many years as a leading stage actress, starting in 1964 her breakout television role was as the scheming bisexual reporter Vicky Stafford in the risque soap opera '' The Box''. Her character became a popular cult figure in the series. Nunn continued in the role for the show's entire 1974–77 run and appeared in the feature film version in 1975. Perth
Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. ''Possession'' is an Australian television soap opera made by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Nine Network in 1985. It was the brainchild of the television producer, Reg Watson. The pilot was written by Bevan LeeEd. Scott Murray, ''Australia on the Small Screen 1970-1995'', Oxford Uni Press, 1996 p124 and executive produced by Don Battye. The series began with a convoluted espionage incident that uncovered the interpersonal dramas and family secrets of several wealthy, powerful and glamorous women, their handsome young lovers, and long-lost children. It was not a popular success and only ran to 52 episodes. Production was cancelled in May 1985. Director of publicity for Nine, Sue Ward said "We did a complete series. ''Surprise Surprise'' is a British light entertainment television programme for ITV that originally ran from 6 May 1984 to 26 December 2001 with Cilla Black as the host. The show returned from 21 October 2012 to 26 July 2015 and was hosted by Holly Willoughby. Format The show was hosted by Cilla Black, and filmed in front of a studio audience. Its premise involved surprising members of the public with long-held wishes, setting up tricks to fool members of the public, making prank calls to people and reuniting guests with long-lost loved ones. Black was assisted for eight series by Bob Carolgees, famous for his glove puppetry act ''Spit the Dog'', while Gordon Burns and Tessa Sanderson were roving reporters. ''A Country Practice'' is an Australian television soap opera which broadcast on the Seven Network from 18 November 1981 until 5 November 1993, airing at 7:30 pm on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Series synopsis Like preceding Crawford's series, the aborted ''Hotel Story'', ''Holiday Island'' was a ''Love Boat''-style drama series set in a luxury hotel. This time the location was a tropical resort island in Queensland. In each episode the regular characters - the various islanders and hotel workers - hosted a new batch of guest star hotel guests. ''The Newman Shame'' is a 1977 Australian television film starring George Lazenby and produced by Robert Bruning who previously worked together on '' Is There Anybody There?'' (1976). Synopsis John Brandy is an ex-cop on holiday in Singapore with his girlfriend Ginger and their friend Betty Newman when Betty's husband, Frank, calls them just before the latter commits suicide. In acting, a bit part is a role in which there is direct interaction with the principal actors and no more than five lines of dialogue, often referred to as a five-or-less or under-five in the United States, or under sixes in British television, or a walk-on part with no dialogue. A bit part is higher than that of an extra and lower than that of a supporting actor. An actor who regularly performs in bit roles, either as a hobby or to earn a living, is referred to as a bit player, a term also used to describe an aspiring actor who has not yet broken into supporting or leading roles.
