The Men's 81 kg Judo competition at the 2008 Summer Olympics was held on August 12 at the Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasium. Preliminary rounds started at 12:00 Noon CST. The Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasium () is an indoor arena located on the campus of the University of Science and Technology Beijing. The venue covers an area of 2.38 hectares and the total floor space of construction reaches 24,662 square metres. The seating capacity is 8,024 seats, including 3,956 temporary ones.
