Judith Nabakooba
Judith Nalule Nabakooba (born 28 October 1977), is a Ugandan politician and former policewoman. She is currently the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, in the Cabinet of Uganda. She was appointed to that position on 8 June 2021. Before that, from December 2019, until May 2021, she served as the Cabinet Minister of Information and Communications Technology. Nabakooba served as the elected Member of Parliament, representing Mityana District Women's Constituency in the 10th Parliament (2016–2021). Education Nabakooba attended ''Ndejje Secondary School'', in Luweero District, for her middle school and high school education, where she obtained both the Uganda Certificate of Education in 1994, and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education in 1997. She was admitted to Makerere University, Uganda's largest and oldest public university, graduating with a Bachelor of Mass Communication degree in 2002. Mityana District
The Mityana District is a district in the Central Region of Uganda. The district was created in 2005, by taking the Mityana and Busujju counties from Mubende District. Mityana is the site of the district headquarters. Location The Mityana District is bordered by Kiboga District to the north, Nakaseke District to the northeast, Wakiso District to the east, Mubende District to the west, Mpigi District to the southeast, and Butambala and Gomba Districts to the south. Parliament Of Uganda
The parliament of Uganda is the country's legislative body. Unicameral, the most significant of the Ugandan parliament's functions is to pass laws that will provide good governance in the country. The government ministers are bound to answer to the people's representatives on the floor of the house. Frank Kagyigyi Tumwebaze is a Ugandan educator and politician of the National Resistance Movement political party. 2016 Kasese Clashes
Violence erupted on 26 November 2016 in the town of Kasese, the capital of the Ugandan Kingdom of Rwenzururu, when Ugandan police raided the government offices of the Rwenzururu kingdom, killing eight Rwenzururian royal guards and arresting two others. According to the government of Uganda, the raid was in response to militant attacks on police posts in the region two weeks earlier, allegedly perpetrated by the royal guards. On the next day, Uganda's armed forces and police raided the Rwenzururu royal palace after the expiration of an ultimatum issued by the Ugandan government, resulting in the deaths of 87 royal guards and 16 policemen.
