Jude Lawson is a fictional character in the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away'' played by actor Ben Steel. He first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 30 October 2000 and departed on 12 September 2002. Storylines Jude is the elder of two sons born to Jill Lawson (Tracy Mann). After his father walked out on them when he was 12, Jill became obsessed with religion and believed both Jude and his younger brother, Noah (Beau Brady) were possessed by demons. Jude left home at 16 and dropped out of high school. He returned for Noah when he was old enough to take responsibility. Ben Steel () is an Australian actor and director who is most known for his regular role of Jude Lawson in Australian soap ''Home and Away''. Early life and acting training Steel's parents are Glenys Steel and Ray Steel. He has two older sisters, Nicole Simpson (Steel) and Kara Joiner (Steel). Steel moved to Sydney after completing his high school studies in 1993. His family remained in Melbourne. Steel started taking acting lessons when he was eleven. This later led to studies at Sydney's Australian Theatre for Young People and The Actor's Centre. It was at The Actor's Pulse in Sydney that Steel discovered the Meisner acting technique. Sebastian "Seb" Miller is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away'', played by Mitch Firth. He first appeared on 21 June 2001 and departed on 28 April 2004. Casting Actor Norman Coburn, who played Donald Fisher, was asked to help out during the auditions for Seb. Samuel Atwell (born 6 April 1979) is an Australian actor, producer, writer and director. Born in Nambour, Queensland, he and his family lived in Indonesia for 6 years before returning to Queensland where he grew up in Brisbane. Irene Roberts is a fictional character from the Australian television soap opera ''Home and Away''. She was originally played by actress Jacqy Phillips from her introduction in Episode 887 shown on 29 October 1991, until 13 May 1992 (Episode 1003).
