Jude (alternatively Judas or Judah; grc-gre, Ἰούδας) is one of the relatives of Jesus () according to the New Testament. He is traditionally identified as the author of the Epistle of Jude, a short epistle which is reckoned among the seven general epistles of the New Testament—placed after Paul's epistles and before the Book of Revelation—and considered canonical by Christians. Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Christians believe this Jude is the same person as Jude the Apostle and that Jude was perhaps a cousin, but not literally a brother of Jesus, or perhaps St. Joseph’s son from a previous marriage. Anton Jude Gomes, known as Anton Jude (28 November 1960 – 19 March 2012; ඇන්ටන් ජූඩ්) was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television. A career spanning for more than three decades, Jude was a popular comedian in television and cinema. He is best known for the comedy roles in ''Sabanda Pabilis'', ''Sikuru Hathe'' and ''Sakisanda Suwaris''. He died on 19 March 2012 during a film shooting in Kelaniya. The Armand-Jude River is a tributary of the north bank of the rivière du Seigneur on the northwest bank of the Saint Lawrence river. This stream flows in the municipality of Les Éboulements, in the Charlevoix Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. The valley of this stream is mainly served by the path of Saint-Hilarion which goes north to the east side. The lower part is served by the chemin du rang Sainte-Marie which goes up the valley of the Lord's river. Forestry is the main economic activity in this valley. Jude was a candidate in the 2022 Minnesota Attorney General election, but withdrew and endorsed Jim Schultz on May 13, 2022 after being eliminated at the convention. He subsequently ran for Hennepin County Attorney that same year, finishing 4th in the primary. First elected to office in 1972, he has previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives and in the Minnesota Senate.
