Juan Manuel Then (; born February 7, 2000) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut in 2023 for the Seattle Mariners. Career Seattle Mariners Then signed with the Seattle Mariners as an international free agent on July 2, 2016. He made his professional debut in 2017, starting 13 games for the Dominican Summer League Mariners and logging a 2–2 record and 2.64 ERA. New York Yankees On November 18, 2017, the Mariners traded Then and JP Sears to the New York Yankees for Nick Rumbelow. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. The Everett AquaSox are a Minor League Baseball team in Everett, Washington. The team is a member of the Northwest League and is affiliated with the Seattle Mariners. The AquaSox play their home games at Funko Field, which has a seating capacity of 3,682.
