Juan Manuel Cafferata
Juan Manuel Cafferata (1 January 1852 – 23 September 1920) was an Argentine politician of the National Autonomist Party. He was the governor of province of Santa Fe between 1890 and 1893. Cafferata was born in Buenos Aires, the son of an immigrant businessman from Genoa, Italy, who had settled in Rosario (southern Santa Fe). He studied law at the Jesuit's College of the Immaculate Conception in the city of Santa Fe. He then moved to Córdoba and became Doctor in Jurisprudence at the University of San Carlos (later National University of Córdoba). At this time he was also a member of the provincial Chamber of Deputies (the lower house of the legislature) and of the Municipal Council of Córdoba. Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease usually caused by '' Mycobacterium tuberculosis'' (MTB) bacteria. Tuberculosis generally affects the lungs, but it can also affect other parts of the body. The Argentine Revolution of 1893, or the Radical Revolution of 1893, was a failed insurrection by members of the Radical Civic Union (UCR) against the government of Argentina, then controlled by the National Autonomist Party (PAN). It continued the goals of the Revolution of the Park of 1890, whose themes were further echoed in the Revolution of 1905. In 1890, Bartolomé Mitre and Leandro N. Alem formed the Civic Union, which orchestrated the Revolution of the Park and forced the resignation of president Miguel Ángel Juárez Celman of the PAN in favor of his vice president, Carlos Pellegrini.
