Juan Koscina
Juan Ulises Koscina González (1 June 1946 – 2 March 2005) was a Chilean football player who played as a midfielder. Besides in Chile, he played in Guatemala. Playing career Koscina came to the Deportes La Serena youth system at the age of eleven. Considered a historical player, he spent three stints with them, mainly in the Chilean top division. He made his debut in 1966, scoring a goal against Colo-Colo. In the 1983 Segunda División, they earned the promotion to the top division after winning the mini-league alongside the classic rival, Coquimbo Unido. In the Chilean top level, he also played for Colo-Colo and Universidad de Chile, classic rivals. He spent three season with the first, winning league titles in 1970 and 1972. For Universidad de Chile, he played between 1976 and 1978, coinciding with players such as Jorge Socías, Jorge Luis Ghiso, Arturo Salah and Jorge Spedaletti. Vallenar
Vallenar is a city and commune in Atacama Region, Chile. It is the capital of the Huasco Province and is located in the valley of the Huasco River. Vallenar has 52,000 inhabitants. Its main activities are farming and mining. It was founded as San Ambrosio de Ballenary by Ambrose O'Higgins in 1789, after his birthplace in Ballynary in County Sligo, Ireland. Llanos de Challe National Park is located northwest of the city of Vallenar. Demographics According to the 2002 census by the National Statistics Institute, Vallenar had 48,040 inhabitants (23,284 men and 24,756 women). Of these, 43,750 (91.1%) lived in urban areas and 4,290 (8.9%) in rural areas. The population grew by 1.7% (792 persons) between the 1992 and 2002 censuses.
