Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones (born 1961) is a Spanish politician, jurist and judge. Ángel Ibáñez is a member of the People's Party of Castile and León. Juan Carlos is the current minister of development and the environment of Cortes of Castile and León, in office from 17 July 2019. The People's Party ( es, Partido Popular ; known mostly by its acronym, PP ) is a conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Spain. The People's Party was a 1989 re-foundation of People's Alliance (AP), a party led by former minister of the dictatorship Manuel Fraga and founded back in 1976 as alliance of post-Francoist proto-parties. The new party combined the conservative AP with several small Christian democratic and liberal parties (the party call this fusion of views "the Reformist Centre"). The Cortes of Castile and León (Spanish: ''Cortes de Castilla y León'') is the elected unicameral legislature of the Autonomous Community of Castile and León. The tradition of the regional Cortes is traced back to the Royal Council (Latin: '' Curia Regis'') of León (1188). The ''Curia Regis'' was a king's summons of the estates of the realm.
