Juan Carlos Lomonaco
Juan Carlos Lomonaco (born 1969) is Music Director and Conductor of the Yucatán Symphony Orchestra, in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. The repertory and versatility of Lomonaco's conducting covers diverse areas such as opera (Carmen, Traviata, Rigoletto, Boheme, Samson and Dalilah, Barber of Seville, Elixir of love) ballet (The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Onegin, Carmina Burana, Don Quixote), symphonic music, chamber music, and multimedia performances. Charles Bruck
Charles Bruck (2 May 1911 – 16 July 1995) was a French-American conductor and teacher. Bruck was born in a Jewish family in Temesvár, Banat, then in the Kingdom of Hungary, part of Austro-Hungarian Empire, since 1920 Timișoara in Romania. He left Romania in 1928 for a year of studies in Vienna, then travelled on to Paris. There he studied with Alfred Cortot, Nadia Boulanger and Vlado Perlemuter at the École Normale de Musique. In 1934 he began studies with French conductor Pierre Monteux, following him to San Francisco where Bruck served as Monteux's assistant. After the Second World War, Bruck assumed chief conductor positions with the Orchestra of the Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam (1950–1954), the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg (1955–1965), and the Orchestre Philharmonique de l'ORTF in Paris (1965–1970). Salt Lake Symphony
The Salt Lake Symphony was founded in 1976 and is a volunteer orchestra that performs in the Libby Gardner Concert Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Salt Lake Symphony is best known for its yearly Vienna Ball Gala on Valentine's Day each year. The orchestra's season generally consists of ten unique performances. The Salt Lake Symphony is one of the area's volunteer driven orchestras. The Salt Lake Symphony is a non-profit organization performing classical music concerts for the Wasatch Front community. The Curtis Institute of Music is a private conservatory in Philadelphia. It offers a performance diploma, Bachelor of Music, Master of Music in opera, and a Professional Studies Certificate in opera. All students attend on full scholarship. History The Curtis Institute of Music was founded in 1924 by Mary Louise Curtis Bok. She named the new school for her father, publishing magnate Cyrus Curtis. Early faculty at the institute included conductor Leopold Stokowski and the pianist Josef Hofmann. The institute has not charged tuition since 1928; it provides full scholarship to all admitted students. Mérida () is the capital of the Mexican state of Yucatán, and the largest city in southeastern Mexico. The city is also the seat of the eponymous Municipality. Art Zoyd is a French band formed in 1969, mixing free jazz, progressive rock and avant-garde electronica. Gérard Hourbette was the band's director and composer until his death in May 2018. Carlos Prieto was born in Mexico City and is a Mexican cellist and writer. He has received enthusiastic public acclaim and won excellent reviews for his performances throughout the United States, Europe, Russia and the former Soviet Union, Asia, and Latin America.
