Juan Alcazaren
Juan Fuentes Alcazaren (December 27, 1891 – February 1, 1959) was a Filipino Visayan lawyer, legislator, and politician. He was Member of the House of Representatives for the old 4th legislative district of Cebu (1925–1934), Director of Bureau of Lands (1945), and Undersecretary of Department of Foreign Affairs (1958–1959). Early life Juan F. Alcazaren, the son of Leocadio Alcazaren and Calixta Fuentes, was born in Argao, Cebu on December 27, 1891. He studied at the University of the Philippines and became a lawyer on September 24, 1921. On December 27, 1922, he married Corazon Maria de los Nieves L. Albaracin, who was the daughter of then municipal president (equivalent of mayor) of Argao, Don Lorenzo Albaracin, and Candelaria. Career Practicing law, he once worked with the University of Manila. Pedro Rodríguez (politician)
Pedro Rodríguez y Lazala (1869 – October 25, 1932), also known as Nyoy Endong and the Grand Old Man of Bogo was a Filipino politician. He served as ''Presidente Municipal'' of Bogo, Cebu and was one of the first members of the Philippine Assembly. Rodríguez was born in Medellin, Cebu and he attended the seminary of San Carlos and proceeded to the Ateneo de Manila where he graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering. He came from wealthy Bogo family with extensive landholdings in the northern sugar-belt towns of the province. Rodríguez was appointed as Municipal President of Bogo between 1898 until 1903. In 1905, he went to Spain as a delegate of the Philippine Assembly. In 1907, his brother, Celestino Rodríguez became senator deputised in the district. Sergio Osmeña
Sergio Osmeña Sr. (, ; 9 September 1878 – 19 October 1961) was a Filipino lawyer and politician who served as the fourth president of the Philippines from 1944 to 1946. He was vice president under Manuel L. Quezon. Upon Quezon's sudden death in 1944, Osmeña succeeded him at age 65, becoming the oldest person to assume the Philippine presidency until Rodrigo Duterte took office in 2016 at age 71. A founder of the Nacionalista Party, Osmeña was also the first Visayan to become president. Prior to his accession in 1944, Osmeña served as governor of Cebu from 1906 to 1907, member and first speaker of the Philippine House of Representatives from 1907 to 1922, and senator from the 10th senatorial district for thirteen years, in which capacity he served as Senate president pro tempore. Mariano Jesús Diosomito Cuenco (January 16, 1888 – February 25, 1964) was a Filipino Cebuano people, Cebuano politician and writer. He was the 4th President of the Senate of the Philippines. Early life Cuenco was born in Carmen, Cebu, Carmen, Cebu Province, Cebu on January 16, 1888, to Mariano Albao Cuenco (1861–1909) and Remedios López Diosomito. He studied at the Colegio de San Carlos of Cebu, where he graduated in 1904 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. He finished law in 1911 at the Escuela de Derecho (later became the Manila Law School) and passed the bar examinations in 1913.
