The University of Jordan ( ar, الجامعة الأردنية), often abbreviated UJ, is a public university located in Amman, Jordan. Founded in 1962 by royal decree, it is the largest and oldest institution of higher education in Jordan. It is located in the capital Amman in the Jubaiha area of the University District. It is composed of 20 faculties and over 95 departments. The University District where the University of Jordan is located in is considered one of the most developed parts of Amman, with a rich history of education and culture and a high population density. Jahangirnagar University ( JU) is a publicly funded university located in Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the only fully residential university in Bangladesh. Ju (), also spelled Joo or Chu, is a Korean family name and an element in Korean given names. Its meaning differs based on the hanja used to write it. Ju is a language from the West Chadian branch of the Chadic language family. The language is spoken solely in Nigeria, and had approximately 900 native speakers in 1993. The language is unwritten.
