Joško Battestin
Joško Battestin (14 March 1918 – 21 September 2020) was a Slovene electrical engineer, inventor, physics teacher and author of a number of books on experiments in physics, many aimed at aiding the understanding of the subject by secondary school students. Amongst his publications is a book on graphology, expanding on the theories of Ludwig Klages that Battestin published in 2008 at the age of 91. In 1965 he won the Levstik Award for his book ''Mikroskop Pionir'' (The Pioneer Microscope). He turned 100 in March 2018. In September 2019, it was reported that Battestin, 101, lived in a care home for elderly residents. Joško Marušić, born in Split on March 27, 1952, is a Croatian author of animated films, caricaturist, illustrator and university professor. Biography Joško Marušić was born in Split in 1952, where he graduated from the classical high school, and after that, from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb in 1975. An architect by education, he is engaged in caricature, comics, illustrations, literature, film production, theory of animation, and was even a famous TV personality with his own TV show, but his true love and the focus of his work is art animation. Joško Vlašić
Joško Vlašić (; born 22 July 1956) is a Croatian athletics coach and a former decathlete who represented Yugoslavia. Vlašić's greatest competitive success was winning the decathlon gold medal at the 1983 Mediterranean Games, but he is best known for coaching his daughter Blanka Vlašić, a world champion high jumper. Biography Joško Vlašić was born in 1956 in Split. He started with athletics in ASK Split, a local club. His coach Ante Tešija decided Vlašić would do well in decathlon, describing him as "tall and skinny". According to Tešija, Vlašić was initially very skeptical regarding his aptitude for the sport, but he was tenacious, loved to train, and the results came quickly. Joško Vidošević
Joško Vidošević (11 January 1935 – 10 August 1990), nicknamed Jole, was a Croatian footballer. He played for both Yugoslavia and Croatia at international level. Club career A native of Split, Vidošević joined local side Hajduk Split as a youngster in 1949 and debuted for the first team squad in 1952. He went on to spend the next 10 years with the club, appearing in a total of 349 games and scored 228 goals (including 143 appearances and 63 goals in the Yugoslav First League). During his time at Hajduk he also helped the club win the 1952 and 1954–55 national championships. Joško Svaguša (born 11 January 1972) is a Croatian entrepreneur, former politician and former president of the Croatian football club HNK Hajduk Split, Hajduk Split. Svaguša graduated from the high school of tourism in Split. During the early 1990s, he went to Germany and worked in the Port of Hamburg for three years. He returned to Split in 1994 and opened a bakery with his father Mirko. The bakery was called ''Svaguša'' and after some years it became a major bakery company with stores all around Dalmatia. Joško Španjić
Joško Španjić (born 2 March 1966) is a Croatian football manager and former player. Playing career Španjić made his debut for Hajduk Split in 1984 and was a regular player under coach Stanko Poklepović. He gained fame at the time after his goal against Red Star Belgrade in 1985. In 1986, he joined the military and when he returned to Hajduk in 1987, he was dropped from the squad by the new coach from Bulgaria, Ivan Vutsov. Joško Popović (born 19 January 1966, in Opuzen) is a retired Croatian football striker. Club career Popović played for several Prva HNL sides during his career, including NK Zagreb, Kamen Ingrad and HNK Šibenik, with whom he was the league top scorer in the 1998–99 season with 21 goals.
