Joyride (Roxette Album)
''Joyride'' is the third studio album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 28 March 1991 by EMI as the follow-up to their international breakthrough '' Look Sharp!'' (1988), as well as the non-album single "It Must Have Been Love", from the soundtrack to '' Pretty Woman'' (1990). The album was recorded over an 11-month period in Sweden. The duo experienced considerable pressure from their record label to deliver a successful follow-up album, and resisted pressure to relocate to Los Angeles and work with experienced American producers. The album was a critical and commercial success upon release, with a retrospective review for AllMusic calling it "the work of two pop artists at the top of their game." ''Joyride'' topped the charts in seven European countries, and was certified multi-platinum in several territories. It remains one of the best-selling albums of all time in Argentina, Austria and Germany. " Joyride", "Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)", "The Big L.", "S ...

''Joyride'' is the third major label studio album from post-grunge band Oleander. It was released on March 4, 2003 through Sanctuary Records and marks the band's first studio album with the label. ''Joyride'' also marks a return to the band's focus on aggressive hard rock that was less apparent on their previous, more experimental effort, '' Unwind''. Overview ''Joyride'' was originally planned for a November 2002 release, but since it was not yet completed, Oleander released the '' Runaway Train EP'' at concerts to hold fans over. The EP revolved around its title track, which a month prior was featured in the Showtime film '' Bang, Bang, You're Dead''. A music video was also shot and incorporated footage from the film. In an interview with ''Billboard'', frontman Thomas Flowers elaborated on the creative direction on ''Joyride'' in the aftermath of ''Unwind'': :"We really wanted to stretch our tastes and try to present an album that was a little more diversified as far as inst ...

Joyride (Friendsound Album)
''Joyride'' is the only album by Friendsound, an alias of the American rock band Brotherhood. Released by RCA Victor in April 1969, the album is an experimental project that originated when the group recorded a spontaneous jam session and "musical free-for-all" with their friends. The record explores an unsettling psychedelic style that features electronic music, musique concrète, spoken word, noisy guitar and other jarring sounds, and incorporates a studio control consol as a musical instrument. One song, "Childsong", features a recording of band member Phil Volk singing as a young child. On release, the album was commercially unsuccessful, although critics praised the music. The album was re-released as part of the 2014 compilation ''The Complete Recordings''. Recording and production ''Joyride'' is effectively one of three albums by Brotherhood, a group formed by Phil Volk, Drake Levin and Mike "Smitty" Smith after they left Paul Revere & the Raiders in 1967.
