Joyce Windsor
Joyce Windsor (21 January 1932 – 15 October 2008) was an English actress perhaps best remembered for her portrayal of the cleaner Ruby in the BBC1 Comedy ''Butterflies'' by Carla Lane. She trained at RADA before working in Rep, then taking time away from the stage to have her children. She returned to acting in the late sixties with small parts in Dixon of Dock Green, Z-Cars, Doctor Who and guesting in The Two Ronnies, playing Ronnie Barker's double and appearing in sketches including the Short and Fat Minstrel Show. Roles – 1970s In the seventies Windsor appeared in Steptoe and Son, The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, The Good Life as Madame Chairwoman in the episode ''I talk to the Trees'', and ''To the Manor Born'' as Dorothy Plunkett. ''Terry and June'' is a BBC television sitcom, which was broadcast on BBC1 from 1979 to 1987. The show was largely a reworking of '' Happy Ever After'', and starred Terry Scott and June Whitfield as a middle-aged, middle-class suburban couple, Terry and June Medford, who live in Purley. Most of the 65 episodes were written by John Kane, with seven other writers also contributing some episodes. The theme tune, Bell Hop by John Shakespeare, was also used for the radio series Never Too Late which starred Dame Thora Hird and Joe Gladwin and ran for two series (1981 and 1982). ''Jubilee'' is a 1978 cult film directed by Derek Jarman. It stars Jenny Runacre, Ian Charleson and a host of punk rockers. The title refers to the Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II in 1977. Tolethope Hall in the parish of Little Casterton, Rutland, England, PE9 4BH is a country house near Stamford, Lincolnshire at . It is now the location of the Rutland Theatre of the Stamford Shakespeare Company. Gawsworth Hall
Gawsworth Old Hall is a Grade I listed country house in the village of Gawsworth, Cheshire, England. It is a timber-framed house in the Cheshire black-and-white style. The present house was built between 1480 and 1600, replacing an earlier Norman house. It was probably built as a courtyard house enclosing a quadrangle, but much of it has been demolished, leaving the house with a U-shaped plan. The present hall was owned originally by the Fitton family, and later by the Gerards, and then the Stanhopes. Since the 1930s it has been in the possession of the Richards family. Raymond Richards collected a number of items from other historic buildings and incorporated them into the hall.
