Joyce Moriku
Joyce Moriku also called Joyce Kaducu (born 21 April 1969), is a Ugandan pediatrician, academic and politician. She is now state Minister for Primary education in the new cabinet starting 2021. Previously she was in the Minister of State for Primary Health Care in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016, replacing Sarah Achieng Opendi, who became State Minister for Health, General Duties. She also serves as the elected Member of Parliament for Moyo District Women Representative in the 10th Parliament (2016 to 2021). Background and education Dr. Moriku was born in Moyo District, West Nile sub-region, in the Northern Region of Uganda, on 21 April 1969. Moyo District
Moyo District is a district in Northern Region of Uganda. Like many other Ugandan districts, it is named after its "chief town", Moyo, where the district headquarters are located. Location Moyo District is located in Uganda's extreme north, in the West Nile sub-region. The district is bordered by South Sudan to the north and east, Adjumani District to the south, across the waters of the White Nile, and Yumbe District to the west. Sarah Achieng Opendi
Sarah Achieng Opendi, sometimes Sarah Opendi Achieng, is a Ugandan accountant and politician. She is the State Minister of Mineral Development in the Ugandan cabinet, since 14 December 2019. Before that, from 6 June 2016 until 14 December 2019, she served as the State Minister of Health for General Duties. Prior to that, from 15 August 2012 until 6 June 2016, she served as the Minister of State for Primary Healthcare. Prior to that, from 27 May 2011 until 15 August 2012, she served as the State Minister for Lands. In the cabinet reshuffle of 1 March 2015, she retained her cabinet post. Gulu
