Eastern Orthodoxy, also known as Eastern Orthodox Christianity, is one of the three main branches of Chalcedonian Christianity, alongside Catholicism and Protestantism. Russian Icons
The use and making of icons entered Ancient Rus' following its conversion to Orthodox Christianity in AD 988.
