Joy Banerjee
Joy Banerjee (born 23 May 1963) is an Indian actor and politician. As an actor he is known for his work in Bengali Cinema. He made his acting debut opposite Debashree Roy in ''Aparupa'' (1982) directed by Bidesh Sarkar. He was critically applauded for his role in ''Chopper'' (1987) directed by Nabyendu Chatterjee. He contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Birbhum, West Bengal on BJP ticket against sitting MP and Tollywood actress Satabdi Roy. He also contested the 2019 Lok Sabha Election from Uluberia as BJP candidate against TMC sitting MP Sajda Ahmed. ''Nagmoti'' is a 1983 Indian Bengali film directed by Gautam Chattopadhyay and produced by Sibaprasad Sen, starring Atanu Roy, Joy Banerjee and Sreela Majumdar in the lead roles. Debashree Roy (born 8 August 1962), also known as Debasree Roy, is an Indian actress, dancer, choreographer, politician and animal rights activist. As an actress, she is known for her work in Hindi and Bengali cinema. She has been cited as the reigning queen of Bengali commercial cinema. She acted in more than a hundred films and won over forty awards, including a National Award, three BFJA Awards, five Kalakar Awards and an Anandalok Award. Nabyendu Chatterjee
Nabyendu Chatterjee (1937 – 14 January 2009) was an Indian Bengali and Hindi film director and producer. In 1991 he received 38th National Award for the Best Feature Film in Bengali. Career Chatterjee started his career as an actor in 1962 but soon turned into direction. He worked with Bengali director Aravind Mukherjee as an assistant. He made his directorial debut with an experimental Hindi film ''Naya Rasta'' in 1967. In his career he was known as independent, off beat film maker with un parallel and art films. His choice of literary stories to be translated into film scripts by himself. In 1981 Chatterjee made ''Sarisreep'' base on Manik Bandopadhyay's story. His last finished work ''Mansur Miyar Ghora'' attracted positive criticism soon after release. Chatterjee could not complete his last film, Sanskar, a project he pursued for years. 2014 Lok Sabha Elections
General elections were held in India in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to elect the members of the 16th Lok Sabha. With 834 million registered voters, they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 elections. 2019 Indian General Election
