''Journey Home'' is the second studio album from Will to Power (band), Will to Power, released in 1990 by the label Epic Records. The album peaked at No. 178 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 in the United States. Three singles were released from the album. The first, "I'm Not in Love" (a cover of the 10cc song) reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The second, "Boogie Nights (song), Boogie Nights" (a cover of the Heatwave (band), Heatwave song) failed to chart. The final single, "Fly Bird", was released only in the Netherlands, where it reached No. 60 on the MegaCharts. Q Magazine characterised it as 'plodding power balladry". Will To Power (band)
Will to Power is an American dance-pop group that originated in South Florida in the mid-1980s founded by Miami producer Bob Rosenberg. The group recorded a number of hit singles on the ''Billboard'' dance and pop charts in the late 1980s and early 1990s, most notably " Baby, I Love Your Way/Freebird Medley", a medley of 1970s hits by Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd that reached the top of the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in December 1988. The group has also two number one singles on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play, "Say It's Gonna Rain" and " Fading Away", and continues to create music into the 21st century and are currently performing live (Bob Rosenberg and Elin Michaels). 10cc are an English rock band formed in Stockport in 1972. The group initially consisted of four musicians – Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme – who had written and recorded together since 1968. The group featured two songwriting teams. Stewart and Gouldman were predominantly pop songwriters, who created most of the band's accessible songs. Godley and Creme were the predominantly experimental half of 10cc, featuring art and cinematically inspired writing. Every member of 10cc was a multi-instrumentalist, singer, writer and producer. Most of the band's records were recorded at their own Strawberry Studios (North) in Stockport and Strawberry Studios (South) in Dorking, with most of those engineered by Stewart. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Gary W King (September 4, 1947 – July 23, 2003) was an American jazz bassist. He was born in Middletown, New York. King appeared on many albums released by CTI Records, especially those by Bob James, and later on James' own album label Tappan Zee Records. Heatwave is a Dayton, Ohio based funk/disco band formed in 1975. Its most popular line-up featured Americans Johnnie Wilder Jr. and Keith Wilder (vocals) of Dayton, Ohio; Englishmen Rod Temperton (keyboards) and Roy Carter (guitar); Swiss Mario Mantese (bass); Czechoslovak Ernest "Bilbo" Berger (drums); and Jamaican Eric Johns (guitar). "Boogie Nights" is a 1977 single by international funk- disco group Heatwave. It was written by keyboardist Rod Temperton and was included on Heatwave's debut album, '' Too Hot to Handle''. Harpist Carla Skanger (a pseudonym of Sheila Bromberg of the London Symphony Orchestra) played harp and American actor and singer Clarke Peters performed backing vocals on the recording. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. Criteria Studios is a recording studio in North Miami, Florida, founded in 1958 by musician Mack Emerman. Hundreds of gold, platinum, and diamond singles and albums have been recorded, mixed or mastered at Criteria, for many notable artists and producers.
