The ''Journal of Urban Health'' is a bimonthly peer-reviewed public health journal covering epidemiology and public health in urban areas. It was established in 1851 as the ''Transactions of the New York Academy of Medicine'', and was renamed the ''Bulletin of the New York Academy of Medicine'' in 1925. It obtained its current name in 1998. Its parent organization is the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM). The journal is published by Springer Science+Business Media along with NYAM. The impact factor (IF) or journal impact factor (JIF) of an academic journal is a scientometric index calculated by Clarivate that reflects the yearly mean number of citations of articles published in the last two years in a given journal, as indexed by Clarivate's Web of Science.
