José Ángel Biel
José Ángel Biel Rivera (born 1 May 1946) is a Spanish former politician. As a member of the Union of the Democratic Centre (UCD) he was elected to the Constituent Cortes and the Senate in the Spanish transition to democracy. In 1983, he left for the Aragonese Party (PAR), of which he was president from 2000 to 2015. He served in the first eight legislatures of the Cortes of Aragon from 1983 to 2015, and was the President of the Cortes for the final four years. He was Vice President of the Government of Aragon from 1999 to 2011, in coalition with the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) under Marcelino Iglesias. Biography Born in Teruel, Biel is married and has one daughter. He graduated in Law, becoming a lawyer and a civil servant in the National Institute of Social Security (INSS). ''El Periódico de Aragón'' is an Aragonese daily newspaper, founded in Zaragoza, on 23 October 1990 by Juancho Dumall. It is published by the Grupo Zeta and whose information focuses primarily on Section Aragon, Opinion and Sports. 2011 Aragonese Regional Election
The 2011 Aragonese regional election was held on Sunday, 22 May 2011, to elect the 8th Cortes of the autonomous community of Aragon. All 67 seats in the Cortes were up for election. The election was held simultaneously with regional elections in 12 other autonomous communities and local elections all throughout Spain. The outgoing Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) administration suffered a serious defeat after losing nearly 30% of its 2007 vote. The People's Party ( es, Partido Popular ; known mostly by its acronym, PP ) is a conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Spain. The People's Party was a 1989 re-foundation of People's Alliance (AP), a party led by former minister of the dictatorship Manuel Fraga and founded back in 1976 as alliance of post-Francoist proto-parties.
