José Santos Romero
José Santos "Pepe" Romero (born 3 November 1951, in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football manager and former midfielder. Playing career Club career Romero started his career at All Boys in the Primera B in 1967 when he was 16 years old. In 1972, they won 11 consecutive games (which remains a record for lower categories), obtaining 29/30 points. Therefore, on 14 October 1972, All Boys became Primera B champion defeating Excursionistas 1–0. He played the Primera División tournament with All Boys until 1976. In 1976, he moved to Temperley. In 1981, Romero returned to All Boys where he retired as a player. Managerial career Romero embarked on his managerial career in 1981 at the lower divisions in All Boys. He had a stint as coach of Estudiantes de Buenos Aires. In 2004, he took over as coach of All Boys with Jose Paladino. Club Atlético All Boys () is an Argentine sports club based in Floresta, Buenos Aires. Primera Nacional (usually called simply Nacional B, in English "National B Division", and known as Primera B Nacional until the 2019–20 season) is the second division of the Argentine football league system. The competition is made up of 37 teams. It is played by teams from all over the country. Clubs from Buenos Aires surroundings, as well as some from Santa Fe Province, are promoted from or relegated to the Primera B Metropolitana ("Metropolitan B Division") while for teams from the other provinces the Torneo Federal A ("Federal A Tournament") is the next level down. Primera B Metropolitana is one of two professional leagues that form the third level of the Argentine football league system. The division is made up of 17 clubs mainly from the city of Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area, Greater Buenos Aires. Originally created as the second division, it became the third level after a restructuring of the system in 1985 that ended with the creation of Primera B Nacional, set as the second division since then. The other league at level three is the Torneo Federal A, where teams from regional leagues take part. Format Primera B Metropolitana is currently organized so, during the course of a season, each club plays the others twice (a double round robin system), once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents.
