José Mota (footballer, Born 1964)
José Albano Ferreira da Mota (born 25 February 1964) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played mainly as a right-back, currently a manager. He spent most of his playing career with Paços de Ferreira, where he also began his coaching career and won two Segunda Liga titles. In two decades as a manager he led eight teams in Primeira Liga, and won the Taça de Portugal for Aves in 2018. Football career Playing career and first Paços stint Mota was born in Paredes, Porto District. After humble beginnings with Aliados Lordelo F.C. in the outskirts of his birthplace, he went on to spend nearly a decade at F.C. Paços de Ferreira, often leading the club as its captain. Paredes () is a city and a municipality in Porto District, in northern Portugal. The population in 2011 was 86,854, in an area of 156.76 km². The 2014–15 Primeira Liga (also known as Liga NOS for sponsorship reasons) was the 81st season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs. It began on 15 August 2014 and concluded on 23 May 2015. On 17 May 2015, Benfica won their second consecutive and 34th overall title. Events The league was scaled up to 18 teams, after the Court's rule to nullify Boavista's relegation from the Primeira Liga in the 2007–08 season. Boavista has been invited back in the Primeira Liga, after the club won a legal battle that eventually deemed their forced relegation five years ago unlawful. João De Deus (footballer)
João Carlos Pires de Deus (born 6 November 1976) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a left back, and a manager. He is the assistant manager of Turkish club Fenerbahçe. Having played no higher than the second tier, he began managing at age 31 with the Cape Verde national team. He led Gil Vicente and Nacional in the Primeira Liga and was assistant to Jorge Jesus at several clubs. Playing career Born in Setúbal, de Deus spent several years associated to local Vitória Futebol Clube, joining its youth system at the age of 15 and making his senior debut in 1995. During his nine-year senior career, he never competed in higher than the second tier, and represented C.D. Beja, Seixal FC, Lusitano G.C. and F.C.
