José Joaquín Rojas
José Joaquín Rojas Gil (born 8 June 1985) is a Spanish professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Rojas turned professional in 2006 with . His older brother Mariano Rojas, was a professional cyclist as well, riding for until 1996. He died in the same year as a result of a traffic accident. Rojas was selected to ride the 2012 Tour de France, but crashed out on Stage 3, with a fractured left collarbone, the second retirement of the 2012 Tour after 's Kanstantsin Sivtsov. Rojas was again selected to ride the 2013 Tour de France and finished 79th overall, one of the highest GC placings among the sprinters; he also finished in 7th place in the points classification with 156 points. The 2013 Tour de France was the 100th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's Grand Tours. Spanish National Time Trial Championships
The Spanish National Time Trial Championship ( es, Campeonato de España de Ciclismo Contrarreloj) is a time trial race that takes place inside the Spanish National Cycling Championship, and decides the best cyclist in this type of race. The time trial championships in Spain have not been held for as long as the Spanish National Road Race Championships, which first took place in 1897. The first race winner of the time trial championship was Abraham Olano in 1994. Jonathan Castroviejo holds the record for the most wins in the men's championship with five titles, followed by Iván Gutiérrez and Luis León Sánchez, with both riders winning four titles. 2007 Gent–Wevelgem
The 2007 Gent–Wevelgem cycling race took place on 11 April 2007. The race had a length of 207 km. The day began in Deinze with overcast weather and light winds. This gave way to a quick start and it was not until after the first intermediate sprint that the initial break of Florent Brard, Christophe Mengin, and Roger Hammond. The leaders were allowed a substantial lead (eleven minutes) for a semi-classic, which forced the peloton ride aggressively over the final 100 km. During the descents of the Kemmelberg, several riders crashed on the wet cobblestones and were severely injured after a rider swerved to avoid a fallen water bottle. The Challenge Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca ( en, Tour of Majorca, ca, Challenge Volta Ciclista a Mallorca) is a series of four (five until 2012) professional one day road bicycle races held on the Spanish island of Mallorca in late January or early February. The event is used as an early season preparatory event by many of the top teams in readiness for the bigger races later in the season. The five races are ranked 1.1 on the UCI Europe Tour.
