José Ignacio Valenzuela
José Ignacio Valenzuela (born April 29, 1972, Santiago de Chile, Chile) also known by the nickname Chascas, is a Chilean writer and screenwriter. Author of scripts for national and foreign soap operas, among which ''Amor a domicilio'', ''La familia de al lado'', ''Dama y obrero (American telenovela), Dama y obrero'' and adaptation of ''Lola (Chilean TV series), Lola''—, He has also participated in the development of various television, literature, film and theater projects in Chile, Mexico, United States and Puerto Rico. He has published a number of novels and short fiction, and has also served as professor and instructor of creative writing. Personal life Son of José Miguel Valenzuela Fuentes and Cecilia Violeta Güiraldes Camerati, born in the neighborhood of Las Condes in Santiago de Chile. Nephew of renowned children's author Chilean Ana María Güiraldes, whom he accompanied in 1992 for co-writing program at the National Television Arboliris Chile.

''La casa de al lado'' (''The House Next Door'') is an American Spanish-language black comedy telenovela produced by the United States–based television network Telemundo. This mystery is a remake of the Chilean telenovela ''La familia de al lado'' produced by TVN in 2010 to 2011 and is being adapted by the author of the original, José Ignacio Valenzuela making a story longer with many differences from the original. Filming began in April 2011 and was completed in December 2011. From May 31, 2011, to January 23, 2012, Telemundo aired the serial on weeknights at 9 p.m./8c during the 2011–2012 season The version broadcast by Telemundo at 10pm contained an above average level of violence. ''Gay'' is a term that primarily refers to a homosexual person or the trait of being homosexual. The term originally meant 'carefree', 'cheerful', or 'bright and showy'.
