José Ignacio is a resort (''balneario'') in the Maldonado Department of southeastern Uruguay. Geography The resort is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, on Route 10 (Uruguay), Route 10, east of José Ignacio Lagoon. A notable feature is the Punta José Ignacio Lighthouse. José Ignacio Pichardo Lechuga (born 8 September 1966) is a Mexican politician from the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). José Ignacio Iruretagoyena (1963 – 1998) was a Spanish politician and victim of terrorism of the Basque separatist group Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (ETA). José Ignacio Inchausti Bravo (born 1 January 1973 in Madrid) is a Spanish former rugby union player and coach, nicknamed "Tiki", who played as a centre.
