José González (wrestler)
José Huertas González (born March 18, 1946) better known as Invader 1, is a Puerto Rican retired professional wrestler, who wrestled in the United States and around the world, especially in Puerto Rico. He was charged with the murder of wrestler Frank Goodish (Bruiser Brody), but was acquitted due to self defense in contentious circumstances, particularly as key witnesses to the incident were unable to testify due to receiving their summons after the trial had concluded, domestic witnesses and event investors corroborated a different account than foreign witnesses, and that the murder weapon mysteriously vanished. It is believed by nearly all involved that González killed Brody. Wrestling career Since 1973, he was a wrestler and booker for the World Wrestling Council and wrestled for the International Wrestling Association. The WWC North American Heavyweight Championship was a professional wrestling championship defended in the Puerto Rican promotion, the World Wrestling Council. The WWC Puerto Rico Championship is the secondary professional wrestling championship that is defended in the World Wrestling Council based in Puerto Rico. The title was created in January 1974 and, as its name suggests, is defended exclusively within Puerto Rico. The IWA Intercontinental Championship is a secondary professional wrestling Championship (professional wrestling), title defended in Puerto Rico. It was originally defended in the original International Wrestling Association (Puerto Rico), International Wrestling Association, later being reintroduced in the World Wrestling League (WWL). The title was used since 2002, when Super Crazy became the first champion, defeating Eddie Guerrero at the very first Ring of Honor event, ''The Era of Honor Begins'', in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
