José Gabriel Cosio
José Gabriel Cosío Medina (Accha District, Accha, March 18, 1887Lima, November 23, 1960) was a Peruvian scholar and university professor, professor. As a representative of the Peruvian government, he supervised the Yale Peruvian Expedition in 1912 led by Hiram Bingham III, Hiram Bingham. He was part of the Cusco School, a generation of Cusco students who grouped around regionalism (politics), regionalism, indigenism, and decentralism and is considered the most brilliant generation produced in Cusco during the 20th century and the one that had the longest period of influence. His brother Félix Cosío Medina was also part of this group. Biography He was born in the district of Accha District, Accha, province of Paruro District, Paruro, department of Cusco. National University Of San Antonio Abad In Cuzco
The National University of Saint Anthony the Abbot in Cuzco (Spanish: ''Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco'') (UNSAAC), also known as Saint Anthony University of Cusco or University of Cusco, is a public university in Cusco, Peru and one of the oldest in the country. Its foundation was first proposed on March 1, 1692, at the urging and support of Pope Innocent XII. The document in which Pope Innocent XII sponsored the founding of the university was signed in Madrid, Spain by Charles II of Spain, King Charles II on June 1, 1692, thus becoming Cusco's principal and oldest university. The university was authorized to confer the bachelors, licentiate, masters, and doctorate degrees. UNSAAC consistently ranks among the top ten universities in the country. It currently has 24 faculties with 37 professorial chairs and 29 academic departments.
