José De Cauwer
José De Cauwer (born 25 September 1949) is a Belgian former professional racing cyclist and team manager. De Cauwer rode in five editions of the Tour de France. De Cauwer won one stage in the 1976 Vuelta a España after which he held the red jersey for three days. He also won a stage in the 1978 Tour of Belgium. With TI–Raleigh he won the team time trials of stage 5a of the 1976 Tour de France and stage 4 of the 1978 Tour de France. De Cauwer is known for being the super domestique of Hennie Kuiper. After ending his cycling career, De Cauwer was team manager of ADR; the ADR won the Tour of Flanders and Paris–Roubaix in 1988, and with which Greg LeMond won the 1989 Tour de France. In 1997 he became team manager of the Belgian national cycling team. Temse
Temse (; french: Tamise ) is a municipality in East Flanders, Belgium. The name Temse is derived from the Gallo-Roman/Gaul Tamisiacum or Tamasiacum. This is also reflected in the French name for the town, Tamise. The main sights include the Church of Our Lady, whose steeple was designed by the famous sculptor Adriaan Nijs, who died in Temse, and who also sculpted the wooden pulpit. Inside the church the relics of Amalberga of Temse are venerated. Close by stands the old "Gemeentehuis" (town hall), built in Flemish Eclectic style, housing a carillon in its main tower. The Tour of Flanders ( nl, Ronde van Vlaanderen), also known as ''De Ronde'' (''"The Tour"''), is an annual road cycling race held in Belgium every spring. The most important cycling race in Flanders, it is part of the UCI World Tour and organized by Flanders Classics. Its nickname is ''Vlaanderens Mooiste'' (Dutch for "Flanders' Finest"). First held in 1913, the Tour of Flanders had its 100th edition in 2016. These are the results for the 2005 UCI Road World Championships bicycle race road race. The men's elite race was held on Sunday September 25, 2005 in Madrid, Spain, over a total distance of 273 kilometres. Despite several rumours before the race that some Belgian cyclists would ride for team mate Robbie McEwen, the Belgian squad did work together and their leader Tom Boonen (of the opposing team) won the race. The 1989 Tour de France was the 76th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's Grand Tours. The race consisted of 21 stages and a prologue, over . It started on 1 July 1989 in Luxembourg before taking an anti-clockwise route through France to finish in Paris on 23 July. The race was won by Greg LeMond of the team. It was the second overall victory for the American, who had spent the previous two seasons recovering from a near-fatal hunting accident. Gregory James LeMond (born June 26, 1961) is an American former professional road racing cyclist, entrepreneur, and anti-doping advocate. A two-time winner of the Road Race World Championship (1983 and 1989) and a three-time winner of the Tour de France (1986, 1989, and 1990).
