José Cruz Gutiérrez
José Cruz Gutiérrez (born June 10, 1982, in Guadalajara, Jalisco) is a former Mexican professional association football, footballer who played in Liga MX with C.F. Monterrey, Monterrey. He is best known as "Pepe Cruz" Career Gutiérrez began his football career with C.F. Monterrey, making his Mexican Primera División debut with ''Rayados'' in 2002. He only made fourteen appearances during his three years with the club, eventually dropping down to play for Indios de Ciudad Juárez, Indios de Chihuahua in the Liga de Ascenso, Primera A División during 2008. He led Indios by scoring nine goals in the Apertura 2008 tournament, leading the parent club's manager, Héctor Hugo Eugui, to consider signing him for the Clausura 2009 season. Gutiérrez joined Club Universidad de Guadalajara in 2013, and helped ''Leones Negros'' gain promotion from Ascenso MX in 2014. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX was the second tier of professional football in Mexico of the Mexican football league system. The champion of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top-flight tier). The bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (the third tier). It was sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA, and was officially known as Ascenso BBVA MX. Formerly known as Primera División A (First Division A) the league rebranded in 2009 its name and competition format to Liga de Ascenso. It was rebranded in 2012 as Ascenso MX. Héctor Hugo Eugui Simoncelli (born 18 February 1947) is a Uruguayan football manager and former player. A forward, was a notably player with Deportivo Toluca. Club career Born in Mercedes, Eugui began playing football with Bristol de Mercedes. Soon, he joined Club Nacional de Football, where he won the 1969 Uruguayan Primera División, and C.A. Cerro in 1970. Eugui had a brief stint in Argentina with Argentinos Juniors before moving to Mexico in 1972, where he scored a goal in the semi-finals of the 1972 CONCACAF Champions' Cup and won the league with Deportivo Toluca F.C. in 1974–75. Club de Fútbol Indios de Ciudad Juárez, commonly referred as Indios de Ciudad Juárez or simply Indios, was a Mexican football club. Founded in 2005 when CF Pachuca moved its Pachuca Juniors to Ciudad Juárez, it was promoted to the Primera División de México after the 2007–2008 season, with Pachuca divesting its shares upon promotion.
