José Cancela
José Carlos Cancela Durán (born June 25, 1976) is a Uruguayan Association football, football coach and a former player who played as an attacking midfielder. He is nicknamed "Pepe". Before joining the Colorado Rapids, Cancela played the preseason with Toronto FC but was traded to the Denver-based club the day before the regular season began. Cancela played for C.A. Peñarol, Peñarol, Club Deportivo Cruz Azul, Cruz Azul, Deportivo Saprissa, and the New England Revolution. He had to leave Saprissa, despite being loved by their fans, because of the rule implemented by the "Morados" after 2003, by which they could only use Costa Rican players in their team. Cancela joined the Revolution in July 2003, and immediately added an attacking flair not often seen in MLS. He immediately slotted into the starting lineup, and finished the season with a goal and seven assists in 13 games. Santa Lucía () is a city in the Canelones Department of southern Uruguay. Santa Lucía is also the name of the municipality to which the city belongs. Geography The city is located on the intersection of Route 11 (Uruguay), Route 11 with Route 63, about northwest of Kilometre Zero#Uruguay, the centre of Montevideo. The river Río Santa Lucía, after which the city is named, flows along the northwestern limits of the city. History Santa Lucía was founded in 1782 with the name of ''Villa San Juan Bautista''. Saprissa
Deportivo Saprissa is a Costa Rican sports club, mostly known for its football team. The club is based in San Juan de Tibás, San José, and play their home games at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá. Their colours are burgundy and white. It is the main team representing the capital, but with the distinction of being massively followed throughout the whole country and overseas. The club was founded in 1935 and has competed in the Costa Rican first division since 1949. The name of the team comes from one of the club's main founders, Ricardo Saprissa Aymá.
