José Aurelio Suárez
José Aurelio Suárez García (born 18 December 1995) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Japanese club Tokushima Vortis. Club career Born in Gijón, Asturias, Suárez started playing football for hometown club CD Roces, moving to FC Barcelona's youth system, La Masia, in 2011. After progressing through its ranks, he was promoted to the B-team in 2014. Suárez played his first match as a professional on 31 January 2015, in a 1–4 away win against CE Sabadell FC for the Segunda División championship. His performance was praised by the media. On 7 July 2017, after being a regular starter in the B-side's promotion to the second level, free agent Suárez signed a four-year deal with La Liga side Girona FC. On 25 August, however, he suffered a shoulder injury which kept him out for four months. The Segunda División B promotion play-offs are a series of playoff matches contested by the teams finishing from 1st to 4th in each Segunda División B group. Sixteen teams play to take four promotion places. Barakaldo CF has been in the Segunda División B promotion play-offs a record nine times: 1993-1994, 1997–2000, 2002–2003 and 2008, but never won promotion. Otherwise Racing de Ferrol, FC Barcelona B, Getafe CF and Real Murcia won promotion a record three times. Teams from group 1 (usually from west) and group 4 (usually from south) won promotion twenty five times each. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''.
