Toni Preckwinkle
Toni Lynn Preckwinkle (née Reed; born March 17, 1947) is an American politician and the current County Board President in Cook County, Illinois, United States. She was first elected as President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, the executive branch of Cook County government, in November 2010 and became the first woman elected to this position. Preckwinkle previously served as a five-term alderman in the Chicago City Council, representing Chicago's 4th ward. During her tenure, she emerged as the council's prominent defender of affordable housing. She was also the runner-up in the 2019 election for Mayor of Chicago. Lynwood is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States and a suburb of Chicago. The population was 9,116 at the 2020 census. Lynwood was founded in 1959. The village is bordered by Lansing to the north, Glenwood to the west, Ford Heights and Sauk Village to the south, and Munster and Dyer, Indiana, to the east. Donnna Miller (''née'' Black; born September 7, 1965) is a politician currently serving as a Cook County commissioner, representing the board's 6th district. Early life and career Miller was born "Donna Lynne Black" on September 7, 1965. She spent most of her youth living in Chicago. Miller attended Odgen Elementrary in Chicago. Dennis Deer (born August 7, 1972), is an American politician serving as the Cook County Commissioner for the 2nd district. The district contains many neighborhoods in Chicago, including portions of the Loop, Near West Side, Near South Side, North Lawndale, Englewood, and Washington Park community areas.
