Early years Thompson attended Nacogdoches High School in Nacogdoches, Texas. A 4-star recruit, he committed to Texas to play college football on July 27, 2016. Joshua Casey Thompson (born in Lawrence, Kansas on February 28, 1962) is a retired American biathlete and pilot. He was educated at Colorado Rocky Mountain School and Western State Colorado University, attending the latter on an athletic scholarship and leading them to a national collegiate cross-country title. He initially enjoyed success at junior level as a cross-country skier before switching to biathlon after first coming across the sport while competing at the junior national cross-country championships in 1980. His silver at the 20 km race of the Biathlon World Championships 1987 was the best place a US biathlete had achieved at that point. He never won an Olympic medal but finished sixteenth at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, which was a good showing for Americans at that time. Joshua William Thompson (born 25 February 1991) is an English former footballer who played as a defender. He began his career at Atherton Collieries before joining Stockport County and later moved to Celtic. He had loan spells at Rochdale, Peterborough United and Chesterfield, and then joined Portsmouth. He had a loan spell with Colchester United before signing permanently for Southport. He left Southport at the end of the 2016/17 season following their relegation from the National League. Joshua Spencer Thompson (1828 – December 20, 1880) was a Canadian journalist and politician. Born in Belfast, Ireland, Thompson emigrated to British Columbia in 1858. Thompson was a journalist and accountant prior to becoming an MP. A Liberal-Conservative, Thompson sat in the 1st Canadian Parliament as a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons of Canada following his acclamation as member for Cariboo in the special byelection held in 1871 after British Columbia's entry into Confederation. His only actual electoral race was in the 1874 election; in the 1878 election he was acclaimed again and did not seek a further term in office after that.
