Josh Macleod
Josh Macleod (born 27 October 1996) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for the Scarlets as a back-rower. He has been capped for both Wales U20 and Wales. Club career Macleod made his debut for the Scarlets Under 16s in the 2012–13 season, followed soon after by the Wales U16 squad, while attending Ysgol Bro Gwaun in Fishguard. He subsequently played for Crymych RFC. Macleod made his debut for Llanelli RFC against Pontypridd in September 2015. After making a further 3 appearances that season, scoring two tries in the process, Macleod went on to make his Scarlets debut against Munster. At the end of the 2018–19 season, Macleod was voted the Scarlets ‘D Machine’ which meant he was voted their best defensive player. The Autumn Nations Cup was a rugby union competition held in November and December 2020 in place of the usual Autumn internationals series typically held in the same period each year, as many teams were avoiding extended travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eight teams participated – the teams involved in the Six Nations Championship (England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales) plus Georgia and Fiji – divided into two groups of four. Japan were originally going to take part but withdrew due to travel restrictions, resulting in them being replaced by Georgia and moving Fiji to Group B. Crymych Rugby Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Rygbi Crymych) is a rugby union team from the village of Crymych in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The club is a member of the Welsh Rugby Union and is a feeder club for the Llanelli Scarlets. History Crymych RFC is, by Welsh rugby union standards, a very young rugby club.
