Josh Love
Joshua Michael Love (born September 12, 1996) is an American football quarterback who is a free agent. He played college football for San Jose State. He also played for the Los Angeles Rams and Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL) and the Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL. Early life and high school Love grew up in Mission Viejo, California, and initially attended Tesoro High School before transferring to Long Beach Polytechnic High School after his sophomore year. He shared snaps at quarterback during his junior year but finished the season with 17 touchdown passes to just two interceptions. As a senior, Love passed for 3,199 yards and 41 touchdowns as he led the Jackrabbits to an 11–2 record and was named the Moore League Offensive Player of the Year. History Early history (1893–1970) San Jose State first fielded a football team in 1893 under head coach James E. Addicott. Addicott also served as a math professor at the California State Normal School (now San José State University). 2015 San Jose State Spartans Football Team
The 2015 San Jose State Spartans football team represented San Jose State University in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Spartans were led by third-year head coach Ron Caragher and played their home games at Spartan Stadium. They were members of the Mountain West Conference in the West Division. They finished the season 6–7, 4–4 in Mountain West play to finish in a tie for second place in the West Division. Though they finished 5–7 on the regular season, they qualified for a bowl berth due to having the third highest eligible Academic Progress Rate (APR), after only 77 of the 80 bids for a bowl were filled. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section).
