Robert Newman (born June 27, 1958) is an American actor, primarily appearing on television. ''Guiding Light'' Newman is best known for his role as Joshua Lewis on the American soap opera '' Guiding Light'', a role he played from 1981 to 1984, and again from 1986 to 1991, and 1993 to the series finale in September 2009. The character of Josh was initially introduced as a bad boy of sorts. With the 1983 arrival of Reva Shayne, played by Kim Zimmer, Josh and Reva became a popular " supercouple".
