Josh Butler
Joshua James Butler (born December 11, 1984 in Auburn, California) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2009. College career Butler attended the University of San Diego, where he played college baseball for the Toreros from 2004 to 2006. In 2004, he played collegiate summer baseball in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. Professional career Tampa Bay Devil Rays Butler was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 2nd round of the 2006 amateur entry draft. He played his first professional season with their Class A (Short Season) Hudson Valley Renegades in 2006. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. The Vero Beach Devil Rays, originally the Vero Beach Dodgers, were a minor league baseball team based in Vero Beach, Florida. They played in the Class A-Advanced Florida State League from 1980–2008, at which point they relocated to Port Charlotte, Florida as the Charlotte Stone Crabs. The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) is a professional independent baseball league based in the United States. It is an official MLB Partner League based in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. The Atlantic League's corporate headquarters is located at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Atlantic League operates in cities not served by Major League Baseball (MLB) or Minor League Baseball (MiLB) teams; most of its teams are within suburbs and exurbs too close to other teams in the organized baseball system to have minor league franchises of their own. The Bridgeport Bluefish were an American minor league baseball team based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The team was a member of the Liberty Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, which was not affiliated with Major League Baseball. They played their home games at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard from 1998 to 2017. The franchise had announced it would relocate to High Point, North Carolina, in 2019, but ceased operations instead. Mark Andrew DiFelice (born August 23, 1976) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Growing up in Havertown, Pennsylvania, Mark played for Hilltop Baseball and is currently the only player from that league (established in 1963) to play in the MLB. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers. He is currently working as a pitching coach for the Wilmington Blue Rocks. Minor league career DiFelice started his professional career as a part of the Colorado Rockies organization in 1998. The Huntsville Stars were a Minor League Baseball team that played in Huntsville, Alabama, from 1985 to 2014. The Arizona Complex League Brewers are a Minor League Baseball team of the Arizona Complex League (ACL) and a Rookie-level affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
