Josh Adams (comics)
Josh Adams (born 1987) is an American comic book and commercial artist best known for his work on ''House of Mystery'' for DC Comics, as well as design work for shows on the Syfy Channel. Josh Adams is also the youngest of comic book veteran Neal Adams's three sons. Adams' two older brothers, Jason and Joel, are also artists who work in commercial sculpture and comic book illustration, respectively. Career Adams graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in cartooning in 2009. Adams performed "full pencil assists" DC/Vertigo's ''House of Mystery'' #13. In addition, he worked for his father's production studio Continuity Studios on Marvel Comics' ''Astonishing X-Men: Motion Comic''. Adams penciled a cover pinup of Batman in 2009, and included in issue No. 1 of the 2010 miniseries ''Batman: Odyssey'', written and illustrated by his father. House Of Mystery
''The House of Mystery'' is the name of several horror, fantasy, and mystery Comics anthologies published by DC Comics. It had a companion series, ''The House of Secrets''. It is also the name of the titular setting of the series. First series Genesis ''The House of Mystery'' started out as a horror anthology, featuring tales of the supernatural as well as supernatural-themed mystery stories. Issue #1 was cover dated December-January 1951. With the growing backlash against American horror comics in the mid-1950s, as well as the advent of the Comics Code Authority and its restrictions on horror-themed storylines (banning stories dealing with such supernatural fare as vampires and werewolves), the series was quietly revamped into dealing with science fiction-type monsters and other mystery/suspense-type tales that were permitted by the Comics Code. Motion Comic
A motion comic (or animated comic) is a form of animation combining elements of print comic books and animation. Individual panels are expanded into a full shot while sound effects, voice acting, and animation are added to the original artwork. Text boxes, speech bubbles and the onomatopoeia are typically removed to feature more of the original artwork being animated. Motion comics are often released as short serials covering a story arc of a long running series or animating a single release of a graphic novel. Single release issues of a story arc are converted into ten- to twenty-minute-long episodes depending on content. The New York Comic Con is an annual New York City fan convention dedicated to Western comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies, and television. It was first held in 2006. ''Adventure Time'' is an American fantasy animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television. Jake The Dog
Jake the Dog is a fictional character and one of the two protagonists in the American animated television series ''Adventure Time'' created by Pendleton Ward. He also appeared in the spin-off series '' Adventure Time: Distant Lands''. He is voiced by John DiMaggio. The character made his debut in the original pilot. During the events of the show, Jake says that he is 28 "magical dog years" old. Jake can stretch, shrink, or mold any part of his body to any shape and almost any size, ranging from becoming gigantic to becoming incredibly small. Bleeding Cool is an Internet news site, focusing on comics, television, film, board games, and video games. Owned by Avatar Press, it was launched by Rich Johnston on March 27, 2009. Avatar Press also publishes an associated magazine, ''Bleeding Cool''. Content Among Bleeding Cool's features are a power list detailing the most influential people in the comics industry. Richard Johnston is a British comics creator, columnist, and founder of the comics news site ''Bleeding Cool''. ''The Comics Journal'' described Johnston as having claimed to be "the oldest extant comics news reporter on the Internet." ''iFanboy'' is a weekly audio podcast which focuses on comic books, comic book publishing, and comic book creators. It stars Josh Flanagan, Ron Richards, and Conor Kilpatrick. The first episode of the audio podcast was released on November 2, 2005, and the first episode of the video podcast on January 17, 2007.
