Joe Walters
Joe Walters (born November 30, 1984) is an American former professional lacrosse player. Walters is part of the 2022 class of the Rochester Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Early life Walters, the youngest of four children was born to Joe and Be Walters. His father, Joe, served with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Walter's father met Be in Vietnam. Walters attended Irondequoit High School in his hometown of Irondequoit, New York. College career Walters was a four-time All-American at the University of Maryland. He won the ACC Rookie of the Year Award in 2003, and was named ACC Player of the Year in 2004. In the last game of his senior regular season with the Terps, Walters became the University of Maryland's all-time leading point scorer with 227 and all-time leading goal scorer with 153. Walters won the 2006 Jack Turnbull Award as the Attackman of the Year. He was also a finalist for the Tewaaraton Trophy, given to the National Player of the Year. Joe Walters (English Footballer)
Joseph Walters (11 December 1886 – 24 December 1923) was an English professional footballer who played as a forward in the Football League, most notably for Aston Villa and Oldham Athletic. He also played league football for Southend United, Rochdale, Millwall and Crewe Alexandra. Personal life Walters was married with three children. He served as an Air Mechanic 1st Class with the Royal Air Force during the First World War and worked at No. 1 (Southern), No. 9 and No. 10 aircraft repair depots. Walters died of pneumonia in December 1923. Joe Walters (1935–2017) was a Scottish footballer, who played as a wing half. Walters was best known for his time at Clyde where he made over 230 appearances, and was part of the 1957–58 Scottish Cup winning team. Joseph Arthur Walters (12 February 1940 – 16 May 2021) was an English first-class cricketer who played five matches for Nottinghamshire in 1958 and 1959. Walters was signed by Nottinghamshire in 1954 at the age of 14. A leg-spinner, he took 6 for 139 off 36.3 overs against Oxford University in May 1959. It was the only match in which he was dismissed: in his nine innings he was not out In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings.
