Joseph McLaughlin (June 9, 1867 – November 21, 1926) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. Biography Joseph McLaughlin was born in Burt, County Donegal, Ireland on June 9, 1867. He immigrated to the United States and settled in Philadelphia in 1889. He was employed as a mechanic in the Baldwin Locomotive Works and became shop superintendent of his department. McLaughlin was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-fifth Congress. Holy Cross Cemetery is an active cemetery owned by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia located in Yeadon, Pennsylvania. Mahlon ( ''Maḥlōn'') and Chilion (כִּלְיוֹן ''Ḵilyōn'') were two brothers mentioned in the Book of Ruth. They were the sons of Elimelech of the tribe of Judah and his wife Naomi. Together with their parents, they settled in the land of Moab during the period of the Israelite Judges. On foreign soil, Mahlon married the Moabite convert Ruth (Ruth 4:10) while Chilion married the Moabite convert Orpah.
