Joe McLaughlin (footballer)
Joe McLaughlin (born 2 June 1960 in Greenock) is a retired professional footballer who played for Chelsea for six seasons in the 1980s. Playing career McLaughlin started his playing career with Greenock Morton in 1977. During his time at Greenock he became a regular in the Scotland national under-21 football team, winning 10 caps. In 1983, he was transferred to Chelsea for a fee of £100,000. McLaughlin began his career at Chelsea by winning the Second Division championship in his first season. He would go on to play for Chelsea until 1989 winning another Second Division championship as well as the Full Members Cup. He was then transferred to Charlton Athletic for £650,000 which at that time made him Charlton's record transfer. After one season at Charlton, he was sold to Watford for £500,000. Joseph James McLaughlin (born July 1, 1957) is a former linebacker in the National Football League. He was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Career McLaughlin played with the Green Bay Packers during the 1979 NFL season before playing five seasons with the New York Giants. Joseph McLaughlin (June 9, 1867 – November 21, 1926) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. Biography Joseph McLaughlin was born in Burt, County Donegal, Ireland on June 9, 1867. He immigrated to the United States and settled in Philadelphia in 1889. He was employed as a mechanic in the Baldwin Locomotive Works and became shop superintendent of his department. McLaughlin was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-fifth Congress. Joseph Francis McLaughlin (June 7, 1908 – October 25, 1962) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii in the Territory of Hawaii. Early life and education Born in Leominster, Massachusetts, J. Frank McLaughlin grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts, graduating from Saint John's High School in 1926. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College i1930 followed by a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1933. Career After graduating from a Harvard Law School, McLaughlin was in private practice in Whitinsville, Massachusetts from 1933 to 1935.
