Joseph Hunt D.D. (b Kingsclere 16 March 1681 - d Astrop 15 March 1726) was Master of Balliol College, Oxford from 1722 until his death. Davey graduated B.A. from Balliol in 1700; M.A. in 1703; and B.D. in 1718. Joseph Hunt (MP)
Joseph Hunt (1762–1816) was a British Tory MP who also held various senior posts linked to the Admiralty and Royal Navy. Life He was born at Portsea, Portsmouth in January 1762 the son of Edward Hunt a shipbuilder at Portsmouth Dockyard (later Surveyor of the Navy) and his wife Anne Irish (d.1804). The family also had a London house at Blackheath. He was educated at Winchester College from 1773 to 1777. From 1779 (aged only 17) he was Clerk to his father in his role as Surveyor of the Navy (to which post he had been appointed in 1778). Through this role he became private secretary to Admiral Sir Samuel Hood at the Admiralty 1781/2. In 1788 he became private secretary to John Pitt, 2nd Earl of Chatham in the Admiralty, retaining this role until at least 1802. In 1789 he became "Receiver" in the Admiralty's Sixpenny Office. Joe Hunt
Joseph Raphael Hunt (February 17, 1919 – February 2, 1945) was an American tennis player of the late 1930s and early 1940s from Southern California. He was the number one ranked American in 1943 and won the US singles championship in his final match. He died off the coast of Florida in an airplane crash during World War II. To date he is the only man to win the U.S. boys' (15 and under), junior (18 and under), collegiate, and men's singles championship. Tennis career A graduate of Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, Hunt played college tennis at the University of Southern California as a freshman, and he went undefeated in singles and doubles play while in college during 1938, including the Ojai Tennis Tournament. Hunt was very athletic, and he played football for a while. After enlisting, he attended the United States Naval Academy and joined the Navy football team as a running back during the 1940 season. Joseph Harold Hunt (born September 30, 1961) is an American lawyer. He was the United States Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division of the Department of Justice from September 2018 to July 2020. Education Hunt received his Bachelor of Arts from Samford University in 1982, where he was the valedictorian. Joey Hunt (born February 22, 1994) is an American football center for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He played college football at Texas Christian University. Early years Joey Hunt was born to Tommy and Pam Hunt.
