Joseph E. Marine
Joseph E. Marine (December 19, 1905 – January 25, 1998) was an American politician from New York (state), New York. Life He was born on December 19, 1905, in Manhattan, New York City. He attended DeWitt Clinton High School, the New York University, College of the City of New York, New York University School of Public Administration and the Pace University, Pace Institute of Accounting. Then he became a claims adjuster in the office of the New York City Comptroller. In 1932, he married Josephine Del Genio (died 1997), and they had one son. He was Ticket Manager of the New York Yankees from 1946 to 1951. He was Executive Assistant to Lt. Gov. George B. DeLuca from 1955 to 1958. Marine was a member of the New York State Senate (29th D.) from 1961 to 1965, sitting in the 173rd New York State Legislature, 173rd, 174th New York State Legislature, 174th and 175th New York State Legislatures. Manfred Ohrenstein (born August 5, 1925) is a lawyer and Of Counsel to the New York law firm of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. He is a former member of the New York State Senate. A Democrat, he represented Manhattan from 1961 until 1994. From 1975 until 1994, he served as the New York State Senate Minority Leader. He is married to Dr. Marilyn Bacher and has two children, Nancy and David and four grandchildren. Biography The son of a furniture merchant, Manfred "Fred" Ohrenstein was born in 1925 in Mannheim, Germany. In 1938, Ohrenstein and his family, who were Jewish, fled Nazi Germany. Erie County is a county along the shore of Lake Erie in western New York State. As of the 2020 census, the population was 954,236. The county seat is Buffalo, which makes up about 28% of the county's population. Both the county and Lake Erie were named for the regional Iroquoian language-speaking Erie tribe of Native Americans, who lived in the area before 1654. Amherst () is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. Amherst is an inner ring suburb of Buffalo. As of 2020, the town had a total population of 129,595. This represents an increase from 122,366 as reported in the 2010 census.
