Josep Espar I Ticó
Josep Espar i Ticó (22 December 1927 – 20 August 2022) was a Catalans, Catalan businessman, politician and cultural activist. Biography In 1950 he graduated in law from the University of Barcelona. In 1954 he joined the group CC (Catalonia), CC, formed by post-war pro-Catalanism Catholic people. On 19 May 1960, he was one of the promoters of the Events of the Palau de la Música, in which, in a tribute to the poet Joan Maragall in the midst of the Francoist dictatorship, the public began to sing the ''Cant de la Senyera, Cant de la senyera'', a song that became the substitute of Catalonia's anthem ''Els Segadors, Els segadors'', then banned. Previously he had also been involved in the Galinsoga affair. In 1961 he was one of the founders of the Edigsa, a record label that promoted ''Nova Cançó''. 1979 Spanish General Election
The 1979 Spanish general election was held on Thursday, 1 March 1979, to elect the 1st Cortes Generales of the Kingdom of Spain. All 350 seats in the Congress of Deputies were up for election, as well as all 208 seats in the Senate. This was the first election held under the Spanish Constitution of 1978. The Union of the Democratic Centre (UCD) remained the largest party, winning 168 of the 350 seats in the Congress of Deputies and 119 of the 208 seats in the Senate. As a result, Adolfo Suárez went on to form a minority government, depending on support from Manuel Fraga's Democratic Coalition, which experienced an electoral decline.
