Josefine Christensen
Josefin Christensen (born 13 October 1982) is a retired Swedish footballer. Christensen was part of the Djurgården Swedish champions' team of 2003. Christensen played for Sweden in the 2000 UEFA Women's Under-18 Championship. The Damallsvenskan, Swedish for ''ladies all-Swedish'' and also known as OBOS Damallsvenskan for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in Sweden. It is also referred to as the women's Allsvenskan. The term Allsvenskan alone is used to reference the men's division. The division consists of a league of 14 teams. From 2013, the Damallsvenskan began operating on a system of promotion and relegation with the Elitettan. The two lowest placed teams are relegated to the Elitettan, and the two highest placed teams from the Elitettan are promoted in their place. Starting with the 2022 season the league has been expanded from 12 to 14 teams. The first Swedish women's national championship was played in 1973. Djurgårdens IF (formerly Djurgården/Älvsjö (2003–2007)) is a football club from Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The team play their home games on Stockholm Olympic Stadium The team colours are white and blue. The club is affiliated to Stockholms Fotbollförbund. History Start During the 1960s, a women's team representing Djurgårdens IF under the lead of Gösta Sandberg met Öxabäcks IF and won 2–1. In 1984 the team was promoted to Damallsvenskan for the first time. In 1988, Djurgården reached Damallsvenskan for the first time by finishing first in Division 1 Norra.
