Jorge Luis Rivera (born March 24, 1996) is a Puerto Rican footballer who plays as a midfielder for Don Bosco FC in the Liga Puerto Rico. Playing career Club Guayama FC Rivera played club football for Guayama FC in the 2015 season. Puerto Rico FC On February 26, 2016, Rivera joined the newly created Puerto Rico FC, that set to begin play in the NASL's 2016 fall season. The 20-year-old starter started four games, came in as a substitute in five and played 343 minutes in the 2016 season. Also scored his first two goals as a professional during the Luis Villarejo Cup. On January 27, 2017, PRFC announced the resigning of Jorge Rivera. Penn FC In February 2018, Rivera signed with Penn FC in the United Soccer League. 2017 North American Soccer League Season
The 2017 North American Soccer League season was the 50th season of Division II soccer in the United States and Canada, and the 7th season of the modern North American Soccer League. The defending champions are the New York Cosmos who defeated Indy Eleven in Soccer Bowl 2016. Eight clubs played in the NASL after provisional sanctioning by the United States Soccer Federation. Expansion side, San Francisco Deltas joined the league. After the 2016 season, Minnesota United left the league to join Major League Soccer, and the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Ottawa Fury left the league to join the United Soccer League. Copa Luis Villarejo
The Copa Luis Villarejo is an association football in Puerto Rico. Created in 2016, it is open to all clubs that are affiliated with the Puerto Rican Football Federation. History 1st cup A new domestic cup tournament, the Copa Luis Villarejo, was inaugurated and involved teams from the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Puerto Rico (LNF), the second tier Puerto Rico Soccer League (PRSL), as well as Puerto Rico FC of the North American Soccer League (NASL), a second tier league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation. 2017 Caribbean Cup Qualification
The 2017 Caribbean Cup qualification began in March 2016. The qualification competition determined which Caribbean national teams would play in the 2017 Caribbean Cup and the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Participants 25 teams from the 31 CFU members entered the qualification tournament. Sint Maarten participated for the first time since 1997. Draw Twenty five nations were involved in the draw, which took place on 16 January 2016, 21:00 AST ( UTC−4), at the Jolly Beach Resort & Spa resort in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. Four teams were given a bye due to their involvement in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – CONCACAF Fourth Round.
