Jorge Reyes (September 24, 1952 – February 7, 2009) was a Mexican ambient electronic musician who incorporated elements of his native Mexican culture into his music. He performed as the member of several groups (mostly known for his time with ''Chac Mool'' ) and collaborations (most notably with Steve Roach as well as Suso Saiz) and as a solo artist. The Mexican Reyes should not be confused with the Cuban bassist Jorge Reyes, the Cuban author Jorge Ivan Reyes, the Brooklyn television writer Jorge A. Reyes, or the Oregon baseball player Jorge Reyes. Biography Reyes was born on September 24, 1952, in Uruapan, Michoacán, Mexico with the name Jorge Reyes Valencia. He was not a Native Mexican, but played many Prehispanic instruments to which he was exposed from an early age in his village. Jorge Luis Reyes Graterol (born August 28, 1971 in Caracas) is a Venezuelan actor and model best known for his work in Venezuelan telenovelas. Reyes began his artistic career as a model before going into acting where he played secondary roles. He obtained his first main role in 1997 in the telenovela ''Destino de Mujer'' alongside Sonya Smith. Jorge Reyes (March 9, 1971 – March 13, 2015) was a Cuban-born, American author known for authoring books in several genres. He is an honor graduate (1993) of Barry University, from which he received a B.A. in history, a B.S in political science, and a minor in literature. He died in Miami on March 13, 2015 after a short illness. Biography Early life Born in Santiago de Cuba, Reyes left Cuba with his parents via Costa Rica, before settling permanently in Miami in 1982. Writing Reyes has written books in several genres of literature: biography, fiction, non-fiction, children's books and poetry. Most of what is known about Reyes's childhood was penned down by Reyes himself in his book, '' Rediscovering Cuba: A Personal Memoir'', published in 2001. In it, he talks about his childhood days in a small town called Boniato on the outskirts of Santiago de Cuba. Jorge Luis Reyes (born December 7, 1987 in Rio Grande City, Texas) is an American baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. He was the Most Outstanding Player in the 2007 College World Series for the Oregon State Beavers. Reyes was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 17th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. George Reyes
George Reyes is the former CFO of Google. He was formerly a director of BEA Systems, Symantec, and LifeLock. Reyes was the CFO of Google from 2003–2008, his announcement of retirement came in 2007. He became the CFO, Senior VP in 2006. Reyes received his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of South Florida. He then went on to earn his master's degree in business administration from Santa Clara University. Reyes has spent 13 years at Sun Microsystems and held a variety of jobs, including Vice President and Corporate Controller from April 1994 to April 1999. He then became Vice President and Treasurer from April 1999 to September 2001. In 2000 George joined Symantec's board of directors.
